Glasgow's fading businesses?

Electronic Tagging Systems Ltd (aka. ETS Ltd electrical contractors) SC205338 has ceased to trade with immediate effect.

Apparently the failure of the company, according to Pat Gammie (director), can mainly be attributed to difficulties which arose during a major contract. "There is a substantial amount still outstanding here which is in dispute", says Mr Gammie. "Due to this loss, the company is now insolvent and to continue to trade in these circumstances is not an option"."

Shock news received by a company today on receipt of letter. The letter said ….insufficient funds available to pay the professional costs associated with the liquidation of the company…… No apologies from the director.

Some wondered whether it ever had the potential to be successful. Perhaps it was always destined for failure?

One company we were told, Trust Electrical, (Unit 209 Bridgeton Business Centre, 279 Abercrombie Street, Glasgow G40 2DD), was referred by ETS as Trade Reference. Apparently they also appear to be having difficulties as their annual accounts are a little overdue. Nov 2001 appears to be the last recorded submission. Companies house have their status as: proposal to strike off (SC182111).

Anyone any idea who their large debt is?
